Diesel is the most popular fuel for heavy-duty on-road transportation. 
Commendable steps have been taken by our respected Government and its various Departments in order to promote cleaner fuels and upgrade the emission class from BS-IV to BS-VI.
However, the fact remains that more than 99% population of vehicles on Indian roads today is based on Bharat Stages III and IV Engines.
